Dear Parents and Players,

Welcome to the Spring 2012 season of LCYSA soccer! We hope that your children will enjoy themselves and learn the game along the way. We have over 200 kids this season!

As in past years, you must provide shin guards and shoes that must be worn at practice and games. Gym shoes or cleats can be worn but cleats cannot have a toe cleat.The league will provide the uniform shirt, shorts, and socks. No jewelry will be allowed, the only exception will be Medic alert and they will have to be taped down. Any piercing should wait until after the season ends.

Games will start March 31st with the first four in Mt. Vernon the last four in Aurora. During the games, players and coaches will be on one side of the field and parents will be on the other. No one is allowed to sit at the goal ends except one coach in U6 and U8 games. Thank you for your cooperation in this area!
Tentative Picture dates are set for April 14th in Mt. Vernon and for April 28th in Aurora. Your coach will give you the final instructions when picture packets are handed out.

We ask that parents and coaches to help keep the kids from hanging on the goals during practices and games for the safety of the kids and the care of the equipment. We also ask you to park in proper areas and not to drive on the fields.
We will have the code of conduct forms again this season. They must be signed and turned in before players will be allowed to play.

Rain outs will be the same this season. The first two games will not be made up. Any rain outs after that will be made up. We are hoping to get at least 6 games in and if the weather cooperates we’ll have 8 games.

The LCYSA is a recreational league therefore there is a 5 goal mercy rule. The mercy rule will remain the same this season. Any team up by 5 goals will have to either move the top goal scorer or scorers to defense not to cross mid field and/or remove them from play until the other team scores.

Please show good sportsmanship towards the other team and their fans as well as game officials. Any problems you may have can be brought up with any board member. Forms will be available at the concession stand and board members will be at the games and at most practices.

We have hired concession stand workers again this season, but we can always use help in other ways. Please volunteer.

To keep costs down we ask each child bring one 2-liter bottle of soda. U6–Coke, Diet Coke and Sprite, U8-Dr. Pepper and Diet Dr. Pepper, U11-Pepsi and Diet Pepsi, U14-Mt. Dew and Diet Mt. Dew, U18-Root Beer and Orange.
